Learning to Deliver the Kindest Care

At HC-One our number one goal is to provide the best and kindest possible care.

We believe that every single colleague can make a difference to our Residents’ lives, so we provide the very best learning and development opportunities in the sector. Our ‘touch’ training programme has won numerous international and national awards for its engaging content and adoption and this continues today

When you join us, you’ll receive a personalised induction called ‘Working together as One’ which incorporates the new Cavendish Care Certificate if you work in England in a direct care role. You’ll have unlimited access to our online learning tool, which contains comprehensive learning materials, enabling you to study a range of fully accredited modules and programmes. You’ll be assigned a personal mentor and you’ll get support and inspiration from our learning and development team.

Once you have completed your induction, you’ll continue to receive support, guidance, feedback and development opportunities as part of our Performance Development Review (PDR) programme. You’ll also be encouraged to make full use of Career Track, which helps you plan the next steps in your career.

The Academy@HC-One, offers leadership and management programmes, vocational qualifications and apprenticeships, as well as opportunities for Continual Professional Development (CPD). Several of our programmes are accredited by professional bodies such as the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).

All our development programmes are focused on supporting every single colleague to deliver kind care to our Residents, demonstrating our values – kindness, integrity, essential, simple, best value – in everything we do, every day.
